2 Corinthians 5:1-5, 16-20 NIV

For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked. For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

2. “BAM 프로젝트의 목표는 우리 뇌의 ‘모든’ 신경세포의 활성을 지도로 작성하는 것이다. 종래의 뇌과학자들은 우리 뇌의 활성을 측정하기 위해 많은 수의 미세전극을 뇌에 심어서 각각의 전극에서 측정되는 전기신호를 기록했다. 이 방법은 개개의 신경세포 활동을 자세하게 기록할 수 있지만 한꺼번에 관측할 수 있는 신경세포의 수는 몇 개 되지 않아, 다양한 경로를 통해 정보를 처리하는 뇌 전체의 모습을 볼 수는 없었다. 뇌기능 자기공명영상술(fMRI) 또는 양전자 방사 단층촬영술(PET) 같은 뇌영상 기술은 뇌 전체의 활성을 보여주기는 하지만 해상도가 충분하지 않고 신경세포의 직접적인 전기신호를 보여주는 것은 아니기 때문에 신경세포들이 어떻게 정보를 처리하는지 관찰하기에는 적합하지 않다. … 과학자들은 BAM 프로젝트를 통해 지금까지 극히 일부 신경세포들의 활성을 측정하던 한계에서 벗어나서 흩어져 있는 신경세포들 간의 정보 교환 기전을 이해하는 것은 물론이고, 정보가 전달되는 모든 회로를 파악하는 것을 기대하고 있다.”
