“히브리어로 ‘지혜’란 말에는 크게 세 가지가 있다고 합니다. 1) ‘샤칼(saw-kal, 창세기 3:6 선악을 알다, 여호수아 1:8 형통하리라)’: ‘신중하게’, ‘이지적으로’, ‘지혜롭게’, 2) ‘호크마(khok-maw, 잠언 1;2, 8:11)’: ‘공교한 지혜’, ‘재치’, 3)‘레브쇼미아(leb-shomeah)’: ‘들을 수 있는 마음’ 혹은 ‘순종하는 마음’, ‘이해하는 지각’. 이 세 가지 중에 솔로몬이 일 천 번제를 드리고 난 후에 하나님께 간구하여 받은 지혜는 세 번째 ‘레브쇼미아(leb-shomeah, 열왕기상 3:9)’라고 합니다.”
