긍휼. 타인의 고통을 헤아리는 마음

1. 통회하는 마음은 무엇인가.

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”(Psalms 34:18)

2. 그것은 겸허히 자신을 낮추고, 기도로 주의 얼굴을 구하며, 악한 길에서 돌이키는 행위다.

“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”(2 Chronicles 7:14)

3. 찬송가 285장의 후렴은 다음과 같다: “기쁜 날 / 기쁜 날 / 주 나의 죄 다 씻은 날 / 늘 깨어서 기도하고 / 늘 기쁘게 살아가리 / 기쁜 날 / 기쁜 날 / 주 나의 죄 다 씻은 날” 오늘은 구원의 날이다.
